Minimum Necessary Tasks Because of Throat Ache

Today, I was tired because it was the first working day after a business trip to Taiwan. Worth still, I had had a throat ache as well as a slight fever since the business trip. I, however, had to go to work because of two reasons.

One was taking care of a newly joined temp staff. She did her job alone during my absence. Although I had advised her through email many times, she had been showing her anxiousness. I think she is too serious, that sometimes might lose her confidence. I, however, accept her personality favorably because it is a better reaction rather than building up stress. I told her that she did well. What was more, there were no mistakes. I really hope she works here as long as possible…

Another was a meeting with a board member. It was the second time for me. He did it to communicate with his subordinates as well as consider the personnel assignment for the new organization from next year. In fact, I have already started changing job, and I didn’t expect too much to him. I, however, told my ideal career and a job which I wanted to work on. He knew I had been complaining a lot about the current situation, but he didn’t give me a clear answer to my change, that made me a little disappointed…

I left our office after I completed minimum necessary tasks, and then I went see a doctor because I was still feeling wrong. I went a new hospital, but I found that I had been there once for a long time ago… I was told that I didn’t have a cold but my throat was infected by virus, acute pharyngitis.

I remember that one of my colleagues had a throat ache during the business trip, and we shared the same ice cream at a night market in Taiwan. I think it might be the true reason of my disease. I shouldn’t have done that, but I had to do that to maintain a good atmosphere then. I couldn’t deny the food which the colleague was having in the situation…

Tomorrow, I have a lot of things to do as I’m going to have a week-long holiday from this Friday. I’m going to prepare for job change during the holiday. I, especially, will spare time to work on practicing job interview in English. I have never experienced it before, but I want to make it a try. Preparing for it will take me to the next level of my English skills.
